The bottom picture shows the finished masterpiece. I'm not a quilter, but I have learned that great artistry goes into assembling the block pieces by color and shape to create the final beauty.

September 20, 2012, Barb's Finished Christmas Quilt
September 20, 2012....My sister-in-law made this beautiful Christmas quilt. Here it is complete with the binding on it. The top picture shows the backing folded over the front. You can see the quilting clearly in the red backing material. That was done for Barb by her niece, Sheryl.

May 19, 2012....Sheryl made this adorable outfit for a niece who is expected to arrive in September.
It is sized for a 6 month old because newborn babies always have more clothes than they can use before they outgrow them:

January 29, 2011, Barb's Creative Non-breakable Frames for RV's
January 29, 2012....My Idaho sister-in-law, ever the creative one, is decorating a new Recreational Vehicle that she and my brother have recently purchased.
She wanted to make it just like home with family pictures in it. However, she was afraid an ordinary glass frame might fall and break. So here is the new frame on the refrigerator of their new RV -- made with a beautiful fabric. (And notice the beautiful babies.) You can get a better view by clicking on the picture to enlarge:

This is what the artist wrote:
Width: 10" Length: 8"
Designer: Original design
Materials/Techniques: This was a dresser scarf that I re-made into a quilt. It has a lovely and colorful three-dimensional thread crocheted appliqué, machine quilting, a batik piping and a batik backing and binding.
Artist Statement: This quilt is made from an estate sale find - someone worked very hard to make a dresser scarf and I wanted to give it a new life as a Priority Quilt. The workmanship in the thread crocheting is beautiful and deserved to be seen again!
Dedication: To my Dad, who we lost to Alzheimer's on December 14, 2010.
